Unpleasant?!?!

All day, the message I got was this: The movement enjoys being hated by its enemies, more than it cares about its own goals. It is populist, and irresponsible. A little popularizing is good, a little political theatre is good.

CPAC is just unpleasant.

I'm inclined to agree but only because I haven't seen anything that sounds capable of penetrating the blue wall of socialism the Dems have constructed in a few short weeks. A lot of sass and gravitas on the last day of CPAC but nothing remotely like Captain America charging to the rescue.

To Be the Man You Got to Beat the Man

Michael Steele, addressing CPAC’s Presidential Banquet, told the audience that “the conservative movement must become a revolution,” and the goal “must be nothing less than the transformation of America.”

“Michael Steele! You be da man! You be da man,” As Steele concluded his remarks, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann — the event's moderator — told Steele he was “da man.” WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

“Tonight, we tell America: we know the past, we know we did wrong. My bad. But we go forward in appreciation of the values that brought us to this point.”

I'd say that's dangerous and nearly disqualifies Steele from leadership if he won't strengthen the rhetoric with resolve and determination to win back the Republic instead of apologizing for all the RINOs who frack things up.

Here's Huckabee strumming another bass solo campaign speech aimed to spoils the Palin effect in frickin' Arkeysaw and other states worth less than 8 electoral votes. Huck never did notice his campaign topped off with that party in Ric Flair's hotel room. If anybody should be taking McCain to task it should be Michael Steele if he were worthy of his name. As long as the RINOs rule the party the GOP won't amount to nothing but a flophouse.

No Huckster please...
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Oh God.....

On Wednesday night's "Hardball," Chris Matthews cheered how "hip," "today," and "youthful," the Obamas looked at last night's address to Congress before immediately transitioning into offering this backhanded blurb for the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC):

"If you like Star Trek conventions, you'll love this baby!" While it is fair to say you won't be seeing Jay-Z performing at CPAC any time soon, the comparison to a Star Trek convention crowd was definitely a dig at conservatives' expense. However Matthews did go on to out himself as a former CPAC attendee: "So if you can't catch a Star Trek convention you've got CPAC coming here. It's always fun. Because I grew up as a conservative. I liked a lot of this stuff."

Rush: If you think Jindal reeked last night, I don’t want to hear from you again

So that State Sovereignty Thing Was Real

Hard to tell with all the Ron Paul supporters running around online.

State governors -- looking down the gun barrel of long-term spending forced on them by the Obama “stimulus” plan -- are saying they will refuse to take the money. This is a Constitutional confrontation between the federal government and the states unlike any in our time.

"Washington, New Hampshire, Arizona, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, California...Georgia," South Carolina, and Texas -- "have all introduced bills and resolutions" reminding Obama that the 10th Amendment protects the rights of the states, which are the rights of the people, by limting the power of the federal government.

Yeah Federalism needs provision for states rights and without it the country is by definition a one-party Marxist state. Americans are not going to fire on other Americans unless Obama raises a half-assed militia of dirtbags. I guess it won't come to civil war unless the Fed brings outside Russian or UN support to quell opposition. At that point the Federal government officially will cease to exist and become a foreign power on it's own and states will be left to their own devises.

Say a Prayer then Hit Me With a Shovel

Amen!
